Consideration of water quality in I&M budget

In a letter to the House of Representatives of 15 October 2014, the Court of Audit commented on a number of matters in the 2015 budget of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment (I&M). The letter is one in a series the Court of Audit will send in the next two months commenting on the ministries’ budgets.

The letter refers the House to matters relating to the quality of water. They include the way in which the Minister is transposing the European Water Framework Directive into national law and the consequences for the quality of surface water. It also considers developments in the management of the Wadden Area. The Court issued an audit report on the Wadden Area last November.

The letter also notes that the spatial planning web dossier has been updated.

The letter and web dossier is only in Dutch available.
