Uncertainties in municipalities' youth care budget
Reliable data not yet available, definite budget known in early 2014
The calculation of the budget that central government will transfer to municipalities on the decentralisation of youth care (about €3.6 billion) still contains uncertainties. They are due in part to the fact that it is not yet clear how some measures proposed by the Rutte/Asscher government will be implemented. The financial consequences of the proposed cut in the personal care budget, for example, are not yet known. The Ministry of VWS has also had to work with provisional data. These findings are presented in the report, Decentralisation of youth care: check of macrobudget calculation, which the Court of Audit published on 18 June.
