Central government should be better prepared for future personnel demand

Court of Audit calls for government-wide personnel planning

Despite its retrenchment, central government must take measures to anticipate an increase in positions that are difficult to fill in the period 2015-2020. The inflow of new, younger personnel will not be enough to make up for the retirement of older civil servants. The imbalance in the age structure will be aggravated by the spending cuts and economy measures, in which younger personnel are often the first to lose their jobs.
