More open data: benefits for the public, business and government
'The government must actively take the lead in opening up its digital data,' announced the Court of Audit's President, Saskia J. Stuiveling, on the publication of the first Open Data Trend Report.
'The government must actively take the lead in opening up its digital data so that we know what the government knows and how it uses taxpayers' money and to what effect. Re-using and combining the data will be of benefit to the public, civil society organisations and businesses and will encourage the government to innovate and work more efficiently,' said the Court of Audit's President, Saskia J. Stuiveling, on the publication of the first Open Data Trend Report on 27 March.
The report is only available in Dutch.
