Recommendation for up-to-date dashboard to monitor education policy goals
The progress made towards education policy goals can be followed using a dashboard similar to the one developed by the Court of Audit at the request of the House of Representatives. The Minister of Education, Science and Culture (OCW) has been providing additional funding to improve the quality of education since 2015. Owing to the combination of discretionary budget powers and the many and varied ways in which schools account for themselves, it is currently not possible to make a direct link between the additional funding and the realisation of the policy goals. The dashboard would give the House of Representatives and other stakeholders in the primary, secondary and secondary vocational education sectors more insight into the progress made towards the education goals
