Secretary-General
The Secretary-General, Cornelis van der Werf, is responsible for the Court of Audit’s staff.
Cornelis van der Werf has been the Court of Audit’s Secretary-General since 10 April 2018. A graduate in economics, he was first appointed to the Court of Audit as an audit director in October 2013. Before joining the Court, Cornelis was a senior adviser at PBLQ/HEC, a consultancy for the public sector, and the director of the Research for Policy consultancy. Between 2004 and 2012 Cornelis was chair of the audit office committee of the municipality of Leiden.
