Web dossier on EU governance updated
The Court of Audit added new information to its web dossier on EU governance on 26 September 2013. The House of Representatives was informed of the update in the letter commenting on the budget.
The web dossier now presents the latest information on the emergency funds and on legislation on the European Semester. The amount provided from the EU emergency funds and by the International Monetary Fund to countries in financial difficulties has increased by €43 billion since the end of 2012 to a total of €417 billion. Payments were made to Greece, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Cyprus during this period. The amount provided from the EU emergency funds and by the International Monetary Fund to countries in financial difficulties has increased by €11 billion to a total of €385 billion. Information has also been added on the implementation of the two pack: two EU laws that the give the European Commission more power to scrutinise national budgets.
