Developments in the audit profession
The House of Representatives will consult the Minister of Finance on 13 November to discuss the development of the audit profession.
It will do so partly in response to a report issued by the Future of the Audit Profession working group and a recent study report on the quality of statutory audits by the Big 4 audit firms issued by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets. In a letter to the House of 31 October 2014, the Court of Audit sets out its position on issues that are relevant to the debate of the future of the audit profession in the public sector.
