Increase in expenditure on corona measures
Total expenditure on support measures relating to the COVID-19 crisis for the period 2020-2021 has risen to €66.1 billion. This is €7.6 billion higher than at the beginning of February 2021. Additional expenditure on testing capacity (€2.4 billion), the National Education Programme (€1.6 billion) and the TVL scheme for the reimbursement of fixed costs (€0.8 billion) accounted for most of the increase.
