Take a coherent approach to government plans for autonomous administrative authorities
The government has big plans for the provision of public services by autonomous administrative authorities.
Autonomous administrative authorities may be given the same status as central government agencies; they must cooperate more in operational management matters and the financial supervision and accountability of a larger group of them must be tightened up. Many measures will be introduced in quick succession for these organisations. At the same time, expenditure must be cut. The Court of Audit appreciates the government's position but has concerns about the feasibility of the measures in practice. The organisations would be better served by greater cohesion. The Court comes to this conclusion in a letter and fact sheets it has sent to the House of Representatives.
The letter is only in Dutch available.
