House lacks information on deployability and costs of fighter aircraft

Minister, show relationship between investments in the F-16 and in the JSF

The information the Minister of Defence provides to the House of Representative on the F-16 and the JSF does not provide a comprehensive insight into the operational and financial relationship between the two fighter aircraft. Since the Netherlands is currently investing in both the current F-16s and the new Joint Strike Fighter, the Netherlands Court of Audit believes such an insight is necessary. In its annual monitoring audit, the Court of Audit also concludes that the armed forces cannot fulfil their ambitions for the F-16 subject to the current budgetary frameworks.
