Quality and effectiveness of municipal Youth and Family Centres difficult to compare
Joint audit by municipal audit offices and the Netherlands Court of Audit
Municipalities do not have sufficient insight into the results of their Youth and Family Centres (CJGs) and provide too little guidance to them. The centres are still far from mature organisations and have deliberately been given the freedom to tailor their care provision to local circumstances and demand. The State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport, in consultation with the Netherlands Association of Municipalities, should develop a method to measure the CJGs' performance and compare the quality of their care provision.
