Ewout Irrgang joins the Netherlands Court of Audit

Ewout Irrgang (41) was inaugurated as a Board member at an extraordinary meeting of the Board of the Netherlands Court of Audit on Tuesday 5 September 2017.

President Arno Visser welcomed his fellow Board member and praised his pragmatism and realism. Ewout, who describes himself as tenacious, was sworn in by the King at Noordeinde Palace last week. The Cabinet had approved Ewout’s nomination as a member of the High Council of State on 14 July. The appointment affirms the House of Representatives’ preference.

The former MP for the Dutch Socialist Party and Advisory Services director of the PharmAccess Foundation fills the vacancy on the Court of Audit’s Board created when Kees Vendrik moved to the private sector.
