71% of our recommendations lead to action
The Progress Monitor 2023 shows that 71% of our recommendations lead to action by a minister or state secretary. This is in line with the findings of previous Progress Monitors .
Ministers responded to 52% of our recommendations by immediately undertaking to act on them. Ministers did not immediately give undertakings regarding the remaining 19% of recommendations that led to action but they nevertheless followed them up.

Progress Monitor
Many audit reports issued by the Netherlands Court of Audit include recommendations to the responsible minister or state secretary. The Progress Monitor 2023 reveals how they followed up the 513 recommendations made between 2017 and 2022. We publish the Progress Monitor every 2 years.
More undertakings
The Progress Monitor 2021 revealed that ministers and state secretaries had been making fewer undertakings to act on our recommendations. This trend has now been reversed.
