The Netherlands Court of Auditors sent a letter to the Senate on 11 December 2025 with its response to developments in the audit framework in place for central government finances.
On 25 November 2025 the Senate’s Finance Committee had asked the Minister of Finance to comment on proposed changes to the framework. The proposals had previously been discussed with the minister in the Senate in the spring of 2025.
A letter on this subject was also sent to the person charged with forming a new coalition government. The House of Representatives has received copies of both letters.
